Plot: Seagal plays a cop who has been shipped to the worst precinct in the Detroit area. He finds himself up against thugs, gangsters, and fellow cops who have slipped into the crime they’ve sworn to stop.
Thoughts: Seagal, DMX, Michael Jai White Anthony Anderson, Eva Mendes. These are the top-billed cast in this movie. The thing that impressed me most in the movie was the fact that DMX didn’t allow himself to get beat up…not even by Seagal. The second most impressive thing was the amount of people impaled. Really. It was kind of disturbing.
This film was based on a novel so the story was actually interesting. By far the best scene in the movie was the car chase that climaxed when Seagal jumped over a vehicle, Kobe Bryant-style.
