Captain America: The First Avenger, 2011, Action
Plot: The origin story of Marvel Comics’ Captain America and his battle against his arch-foe the Red Skull and his Hydra army.
Thoughts: This was a well done adaptation of one of the most underrated superheroes in the comic industry. It was about integrity, honor, and doing what’s right. The cinematography not once felt like this should have been just a superhero flick, but was true to the era in which it takes place.
Of course Hugo Weaving was his usual awesome self and Chris Evans surprised me as he showed off more of his range. This movie really gave the comics justice and I will definitely be adding this to the blu-ray/dvd rotation.
